Fly from Huffman Prairie, the same field the Wright Brothers flew from during their first experimentation with that confounded flying machine. Huffman Prairie, now the site of the Patterson runway complex and Wright-Patterson AFB Aero Club, can still trip a nostalgic thought as you take off over Orville and Wilbur's restored hangar. From our humble beginnings in 1954, flying Aeronca Champs at Skydive Greene County Airport to our present fleet of modern general aviation aircraft, the Aero Club has a proud history of its own, providing low cost safe flying to the Wright-Patterson Community.
